The hidden need of a system!
The hidden need of a system!
Once Kuber, the god of wealth, invites young Ganesha to a grand feast to display his abundance. Dish after dish is served, yet nothing satisfies Ganesha’s hunger. When the palace kitchen is empty, Ganesha threatens to eat the host himself. Only when Devi Parvati sends him a small bowl of rice, offered with love, does his hunger settle.
This is more than a story about appetite. It is a reminder that what nourishes a system is not only the scale of its resources but the energy that flows within it. Kubera’s feast had all the structure of abundance, planning, execution and presentation, but the energy behind it was ego rather than connection. Parvati’s offering, though simple, carried the energy of care and that made all the difference.
In organizations, too much structure without the right energy becomes hollow. Processes, policies and systems may look impressive yet fail to engage hearts and minds. Too little structure, and even the best intent struggles to produce results. Leadership is the practice of knowing when to strengthen the frame and when to feed the flow.
- In your current system, where is energy being trapped in the structure?
- And, where is it leaking because there is not enough clarity or boundaries?
